Progress over Perfection – moving forward in your personal life

What does that statement mean to you?

I can only write about what it means to me, progress to me means to keep going making changes each day, it can be micro changes, or small changes or large changes, there should not be a limit on your changes in your life, on what you are trying to achieve, just a bit further than yesterday, or a lot further than yesterday what ever is good for you. It should not matter what people think, this is your personal life and you are doing what you can each day.

Personally, I really do not believe in perfection. In my life I have not yet witnessed perfection, in any way, from myself or anyone else. I know I am not perfect, and I really don’t try to reach perfection, I do my best each and every day, and I keep making progress I have met people in my life who believe they were perfect, in every way, I really did not know what to say to these people. I just explained what that statement meant to me.

I said I know I am not perfect, and I just do my best every day, and keep learning and moving forward. I really do not worry about being perfect about anything. I went on to say, I feel if I was in fact perfect then I would not be here on this earth learning, and learning, I would be with the creator, why would I need to be here?

My question to you, is how do you go about your life? Do you progress or are you looking for perfection? Perfection in doing things ends up with lots of blockages, Its overwhelming, you experience procrastination Being way to critical of yourself and others Going to great lengths to hide the imperfections of what you did, you don’t celebrate anything because nothing is good enough for you. Setting standards way to high to attain, Needing to control everything All or nothing thinking if its not perfect you won’t do it, it has to be flawless Self worth – believe it depends on their achievements Motivation that is fear driven. being a perfectionist, you have a deep fear of failure Coupled with rejection and judgement. Perfection is really a hard thing to work for, because you will end up putting yourselfIn situations that there is not way that you will be able to pull off being perfect. My mom would tell me always, just do the best you can,

What do you do? Are you for progress? Or are you for perfection?
